Hammer Crusher Technology
Request QuoteOverview
Hammer crushers use controlled high-energy impact to achieve significant particle size reduction in a single stage while maintaining high production capacity.
They are widely used for limestone and other soft-to-medium-hard cement raw materials where high reduction ratios and continuous operation are required.
Process Applications
Hammer crushers are principally used in Zone 2 for primary limestone, secondary crushing, clay, marl, and corrective materials. Fine hammer crushers can also condition feed in Zone 3 before raw grinding.
- High reduction within compact layouts
- Stable raw-mill feed and controlled particle-size distribution
- Improved grinding efficiency and reduced loading variation
Impact Crushing Mechanics
A high-speed rotor fitted with pivoting or fixed hammers repeatedly strikes incoming material. Additional breakage occurs against breaker plates and internal liners until the required discharge size is reached.
- Primary hammer impact and particle-to-particle collision
- Breaker-plate impact and internal recirculation
- Chamber geometry optimized for reduction ratio, throughput, wear rate, and energy use
Rotor, Feed & Wear Engineering
Rotor design governs energy transfer and long-term stability; controlled feed prevents overload, uneven hammer wear, and production interruptions.
- Dynamic balancing, mass distribution, peripheral speed, and hammer arrangement
- Uniform feed distribution and surge prevention
- Heavy-duty housing, replaceable hammers, breaker plates, liners, and inspection access
