Jaw Crusher Technology

Overview

Jaw crushers provide dependable primary reduction of hard, abrasive raw materials, establishing a controlled and consistent feed for downstream processing.

Oswal Engineers supports jaw crusher installations through engineered feed systems, material-flow design, structural interfaces, wear engineering, and crushing plant optimization.

Cement Process Application

Jaw crushers are predominantly applied in Zone 2 — Raw Material Crushing, immediately after quarry extraction. They process limestone, hard corrective materials, silica-bearing minerals, iron ore additions, and other abrasive raw materials.

  • Initial size reduction for conveying, storage, or secondary crushing
  • Stable, predictable particle reduction with minimal excessive fines
  • Large-feed capability under continuous heavy-duty conditions

Working Principle & Construction

Material is compressed between a stationary fixed jaw and a reciprocating moving jaw until it fractures and passes through the adjustable discharge opening.

  • Heavy-duty fabricated frame and swing-jaw assembly
  • Eccentric shaft, toggle mechanism, flywheels, bearings, and drive assembly
  • Replaceable jaw plates and liners engineered for predictable wear

Integrated Engineering

Consistent feeding and efficient flow before and after the crushing chamber are essential to stable operation.

  • Feed hoppers and chutes with trajectory optimization
  • Wear-resistant liners, dust containment, and structural supports
  • Conveyor interfaces, access platforms, foundations, and maintenance provisions
